Skimming the waves of a silent sea
Turning quiet circles above the edge of night
Forever gilded in the sunlight
Above the border of perception
Above the place where earthly notions
Pierce the heavens
Lost comfortably in a world of unfettered thought
In a wilderness of dreams
Formless, I change at will
I am what suits my mood
Fangs, claws and wings?
Hooves, mane and tail?
Do I drop from night
On fantastic foes?
Do I run free
In fabled, endless fields?
Entire stories dug from silent tombs
Inspired by snatches of music,
By a glance on the street
